2. Our next Wonder Church is Feb. 15 at 4 p.m. This is an action packed fun service involving prayers, music, a craft... and puppets! For more information or to help, please contact Elizabeth.

3. Reminder to Return Palm Crosses: Palm branches from last year may be returned to St. Aidan’s on the Last Sunday after Epiphany, Sunday, February 15, in preparation for making the ashes to be used on Ash Wednesday.

4. Our annual Shrove Tuesday Pancake Supper will be on Feb.17, from 5:30-7:00 p.m. Mask making and face painting will be available for children and youth. $10 for adults and teens and $5 for children can be paid at the door with cash or tap. This event is our primary fundraiser for St. Aidan's outreach ministries, helping fund Beach Interfaith Outreach lunches, the Community Christmas Lunch, and The East End Refugee Fund. We need volunteers for set up, clean up and take down; if you can help, please email Fausta at warden.people@staidansinthebeach.com

5. Ash Wednesday services

Ash Wednesday services (with Holy Communion and imposition of ashes) will take place on Feb. 18 at 12 noon and 7 p.m. All are welcome to join us as we mark the beginning of the 40-day Season of Lent.

6. Save the Date!  Wednesday, March 4 or Thursday, March 12 at 7 p.m.: Our annual Walk in Love stewardship campaign begins on Sunday, February 22 and runs through Sunday, March 22.  This year we hope everyone will gather at one of two dinners in the Parish Hall for fellowship and to learn more about what's in store for St. Aidan's this year.  Please plan to join us on either Wednesday, March 4 or Thursday, March 12 at 7 p.m.  More details and a sign up sheet to follow when the campaign begins later this month.  Childcare will be provided.

7. 2025 Donations Tax Receipts will be issued in the coming week. Most donors will receive their receipt electronically by email.  Please ensure that donations@staidansinthebeach.com is added to your contact list so that your receipt does not go to your spam/junk folder. If we do not have an email address on file for you, the receipts will be sent by mail.

“The best way to share the gift of meditation with others is to pray is with them. In real presence with others, we sense the deeper truth of our being and so learn to see beyond ourselves. That is why meditating regularly, whether daily or weekly, with the same community, is such a source of sustenance to our pilgrimage.” – John Main, Monastery Without Walls

10. Mark your calendars for Saturday, Feb. 28th, 7:30 p.m., for a fun and frivolous trivia night hosted by comedian Derek Forgie.  Tickets, $10, available online and at the door.   Cash and card accepted.
