1. Masonry work to start the week of August 24: Masonry work on the east side will begin during the week of August 24. Access to east side doors may be restricted for short periods while the work is being completed. Please message Fausta Capogna for any questions or concerns, warden.people@staidansinthebeach.com
2. Out of the Cold Summer Barbecues – Successful Inaugural Season: Thank you to all the volunteers who supported our inaugural OOTC Summer Barbecues from May to July. This pilot exceeded expectations, with a remarkable 53 people showing up on the opening night and then growing to more than 70 each week.
The kindness and welcoming atmosphere created by our volunteers helped make the garden a place of connection and community throughout the summer. Guests told us how much they enjoyed the food, the outdoor setting, and the sense of belonging the barbecues offered.
Our regular indoor OOTC dinners resume in November. Volunteers are warmly invited to join us, with details to come.
3. CNE passes: We have been gifted a number of CNE passes for children and adults. If you are interested in them, please see Mary during office hours.
4. Mid-Year Financial Update: Thank you for your faithful support of the parish and our ministries. Please take a few minutes to read the attached letter from Julie and the Wardens. Click here to view the letter.
5. Adult Bible Study - Join us for a 10 week study on the Book of Amos on Tuesday evenings (7:00-8:30pm) starting September 8. To register, please contact Elizabeth (children@staidansinthebeach.com).
6. Children's Ministry is open for registration. We have an exciting Fall ahead with children's ministry as we dive into God's word together using movement, crafts and games. Register here: https://forms.gle/h4pKDArraMvvzZW79 or contact Elizabeth (children@staidansinthebeach.com).
7. We are looking for Bible-themed soft toys for our play area in the Nave (e.g. Noah's Ark or Jonah and the Whale). We are also looking for wooden toys for our Busy Bees Play Group. See Elizabeth for more details.
8. Busy Bees Play Group is back!
Parents, caregivers and children ages 0-3 are invited to join us on Thursdays from 10 -11:30 a.m. This Thursday (August 27), we will at Purple Park (at the South end of Silver Birch). For more information, please contact Elizabeth (children@staidansinthebeach.com).
9. Children's Ministry will be doing Messy Parables this summer. Join us at the 9:30 a.m. service as we learn about the stories that Jesus told through a short retelling of the Parable followed by a craft and other activities. All ages are welcome.
10. Summer worship schedule: Beginning Sunday, June 28, we have moved to our summer worship schedule on Sundays, sharing in one worship service together at 9:30 a.m. We will return to two Sunday services on Sunday, September 13, which also be our patronal service of celebration.
11. Canon Julie is away for August and looks forward to seeing everyone again in September. Canon Michael will be available for pastoral care during this time.
12. This week we welcome the Rev. Vinaya Dumpala to St. Aidan’s.

· We support the Grace Pascoe Care Centre: Your weekly donations (to the basket by the church office) are gratefully received.
· Euchre: Tuesdays 7-9 p.m., Parish Hall, $5 to play
· Wednesday Eucharistic Service: 10:30 a.m. in the Chapel
· Meditation: Thursdays 7:30 – 8:15 p.m. All ages and stages of experience welcome.
