Help the Bdiwi family visit their relatives In July 2016 The Beach Cares (the Church of St. Aidan, Beach United Church and members of the community) sponsored a Syrian family to come to Canada fleeing war in their home country. Now, 5 years later with their extended family scattered as refugees all over the world, their father/grandfather is in palliative care in the U.K. They are desperate to see him in October to say goodbye and to let him meet and hold the 2 youngest children. Dianne Lemm, who shared her home with the family when they first arrived, has stayed very close with them and is like their aunt. She is trying to raise $6000 to cover the travel costs for the entire family. They have received visas to travel on compassionate grounds. If you would like to help them out please PM Dianne Lemm through Facebook and she'll send you her details for an e-transfer or address for a cheque or PM Mary Anne Alton through Facebook Mary Anne Alton Every cent will go to help them out and is very much appreciated. Thank you! 15. Bishop’s Company Cabaret: Oct 15 Join us on Friday, October 15, 8:00-9:30pm This is an online fundraiser for clergy mental health benefits. Registration is free!
