April 12, 2024

Dear St. Aidan’s,

I hope you all are finding moments to enjoy the beauty of springtime and all that this Easter season of resurrection and new life brings. Personally, I have felt joyful hearing swallows chirping outside my window and seeing daffodils blooming in the small pollinator garden by the boardwalk.

In two weeks, on Sunday, April 28, we will welcome the Right Reverend Kevin Robertson, our area bishop, who will preach and celebrate the Eucharist as well as confirm several youth and adults. Bishop Kevin is a longtime clergyperson in the Diocese of Toronto and a very engaging, uplifting leader in our Anglican Communion. Please plan on joining us that day, when we will all gather for one worship service at 10:30 a.m.

Following the service, we will host a festive reception celebrating our confirmands and our visit with Bishop Kevin. We are looking for volunteers to help with set up, decorating tables, and clean up, as well as bringing food to share. You can sign up to volunteer your time and bring food through this link or on a paper sign-up sheet in the Narthex (church entryway). Please sign up to help by Wednesday, April 24.

Grace and peace,

Becky+
