3. Summer Sunday Services

June 25 is our final Sunday with services at 8:30 and 10:30am. Beginning next Sunday, July 2, we will move to our summer schedule of one service only on Sundays at 9:30am. We will return to our two-service schedule on September 10, when we celebrate our patronal festival (St. Aidan’s Day).  Jeff returns from vacation on Tuesday, June 27th.

4. Last chance! The Great Canadian Giving Challenge and Moorelands Send a Kid to Camp Fundraiser

During the month of June, Canada Helps is again running their annual Great Canadian Giving Challenge – the winning charity receives $20,000! Every dollar donated to St. Aidan’s via Canada Helps, during the month of June, becomes a ballot in the draw for the $20,000 prize – only one weeks left. You are welcome to donate to any of our funds, but we encourage you to use this opportunity to make a donation to our annual Moorelands Send a Kid to Camp Campaign.  Moorelands provides kids from low-income neighbourhoods with the opportunity to develop leadership skills, build confidence, practice social skills and be physically active in the great Canadian outdoors, through subsidies to offset the cost of camp.  All the donations collected by St. Aidan’s that are directed to Moorelands will be forwarded to them at the end of June to support their camp programs.  Moorelands Kids is consistently  recognized as one of the Top 100 Rated Charities in Canada by Charity Intelligence!  To learn more about their work, visit their website: Moorelands Kids   Click here to make your donation: Canada Helps: St Aidan's - Moorelands   If St. Aidan’s wins the $20,000 prize, we will put the money towards our west garden project.  Thank you for your support!

5. St. Aidan's Garden Maintenance Volunteer Roster

We are developing a roster of volunteers who can help maintain our exterior property with projects like planting, pruning, weeding and lawn repair.  We will have occasional work parties as well as tasks that can be completed at your convenience.  Sign up via this link or on the bulletin board in the Basement Hall.

6. Choir Camp

This summer, we invite all kids to join us for another fun-filled week of summer day camp complete with singing, musical exploration, and outdoor fun and games. Running July 10-14 for $100, for kids ages 6-14! For more information or to register, contact music@staidansinthebeach.com.

7. Altar Flowers for July and August

July 23rd and 30th, August 6th and 27th are open for a flower dedication. If you are interested, the cost is $80 for the two vases. Please contact Hian-Lie Liem at 416-706-3775 or at hian.lie.liem@gmail.com

8.  Christmas Day Lunch

For about 25 years before Covid, St, Aidan's hosted a Christmas Day lunch for people with nowhere to go on Christmas Day. During Covid we delivered cooked meals to All Saints in 2020 and to Restorative Justice Housing (RJHO) in 2021. (In 2022 we delivered gift cards, socks, knitting and baking to RJHO  We would like to resume hosting the meal at St. Aidan's and would like to get an expression of interest in participating in one form or another.  Please fill out the form at the back of the church or speak to Michael Van Dusen.  This is an expression of interest, not a commitment.

9. Food Bank Needs

Donations of non-perishable food items for the Grace Pascoe Care Centre food bank and the St. John’s Norway food pantry are always welcome.  Grace Pascoe Care Centre has asked specifically for donations of the following items: peanut butter, canned fish, canned vegetables, pasta sauce, canned beans, cereal, granola bars, diapers (size 1-5), baby formula, and period products. Please place them in the basket in the narthex. Note: empty egg cartons are needed once again.  Thank you!
