AND NOW THE DETAILS:

1. Live-streaming Paused for the Summer  There will be no live-streaming of our Sunday services during July and August. Instead, you are invited to visit www.stjohnsnorway.com on Sundays at 10:30am to join the live-stream of our neighbouring parish St. John the Baptist, Norway.

2. Summer Schedule of Sunday Services Reminder: During the summer we will be gathering for one service each Sunday, at 9:30am. We will return to our two-service schedule on September 10, when we celebrate St. Aidan’s Day (our patronal festival).

3. Wednesday Eucharistic Service Our Wednesday 10:30am service of Holy Communion will continue each week throughout the summer. Please join us and enjoy some refreshments afterwards.

4. Music in the Summer  Over the course of the summer months our choir members, along with several parishioners, take a well-deserved break. During this time, specifically at offertory and communion, a musical reflection will be offered in place of a hymn.  The remainder of our musical experience remains the same; there is still an Opening Hymn, a Responsorial Psalm, the Gospel Acclamation, the Holy Holy Holy, as well as a Recessional Hymn. You’re invited, as always, to heartily sing out during the service!

5. Choir Camp This summer, we invite all kids to join us for another fun-filled week of summer day camp complete with singing, musical exploration, and outdoor fun and games. Running July 10-14 for $100, for kids ages 6-14! For more information or to register, contact music@staidansinthebeach.com.

6.  Join us for Music in the BackYard  St. Aidan's Regrets (the church school band) is going to get together with some old friends ...and their guitars, banjos, fiddles and mandolins... on Saturday July 15, starting at 7 PM at 104 Kingswood Rd ...and sing and play their little hearts out. For more information speak to Michael Van Dusen ... If you plan to come, bring a lawn chair and maybe some mosquito repellant.

7. Altar Flowers for July and August    July 23rd and 30th, August 6th and 27th are open for a flower dedication. If you are interested, the cost is $80 for the two vases. Please contact Hian-Lie Liem at 416-706-3775 or at hian.lie.liem@gmail.com

8Food Bank Needs  Donations of non-perishable food items for the Grace Pascoe Care Centre food bank and the St. John’s Norway food pantry are always welcome.  Grace Pascoe Care Centre has asked specifically for donations of the following items: peanut butter, canned fish, canned vegetables, pasta sauce, canned beans, cereal, granola bars, diapers (size 1-5), baby formula, and period products.
