Whether you want to learn more about the Bible, discuss contemporary issues in faith, or dig deeper into what you believe, St Aidan's offers regular study opportunities throughout the year. In small groups that meet in homes, or in larger groups at the church, we welcome curiosity and debate as we learn together.
St. Aidan’s Climate Change Project
Let's start our Advent journey by Measuring Our Carbon Footprint! Why? Climate Footprint helps us to measure and then we manage! With a carbon footprint calculator we can find out how much carbon dioxide and other carbon compounds we emitted due to the consumption of fossil fuels. We can measure by family or individual! It’s easy! We’ll focus on ways we can change as the season of Advent unfolds:
- Nov 29: Week 1: Hope: Reuse, Renew, Recycle. Waste!
- Decorate for the holidays and celebrate with less waste.
- Join in a walk on Saturday Dec 5 and see hope.
- Dec 6: Week 2: Peace: Transportation /recreation
- Dec 13: Week 3: Joy: The FOOD we eat!
- Dec 20: Week 4: Love: Our common ground.
Let's learn and do this together as we all want to take action. There is no single "right" way to take climate action! We will choose actions that are right for each of us! Look for your calculator in the coming weeks.
