2. Important Reminder - Potluck lunch this Sunday! Just a reminder to bring your potluck contributions this Sunday as we celebrate the Feast of St. Aidan and welcome our new priest, the Rev. Dr. Rebecca (Becky) Bridges. If you didn't sign up to bring anything as yet, we could use a few more sandwiches or finger foods. Looking forward to seeing everyone back from the summer break and sharing a great feast! Thanks everyone.
3. Save the Dates! Please save the dates for the following celebrations:
Sunday, September 10: The Feast of St. Aidan and Rev. Becky Bridges first Sunday. Potluck lunch will immediately follow the 10:30am service.
Thursday, September 21, 5:45pm: Supper at St. Aidan’s and a farewell celebration for Rev. Jeff Nowers.
4. Join the Choir - Calling All Singers! We’re currently recruiting new singers to all voice parts to join the St. Aidan’s Parish Choir. Prospective singers are invited to come try out a few rehearsals with the choir. For more information, including rehearsal schedules, please contact Michael at music@staidansinthebeach.com
5. Sunday Services - We will return to our two-service schedule at 8:30am and 10:30am on September 10, when we celebrate our patronal festival (St. Aidan’s Day).
6. Diocese of Toronto Youth Retreat - The retreat is for ages 12 and up will take place September 29-October 1. The deadline to register/pay is September 13. Information about the retreat can be found here: https://linktr.ee/BYMC. Please also email Elizabeth (children@staidansinthebeach.com) if you are planning to go.
7. The Annual Bishop's Company Dinner - Are you interested in attending this annual Diocesan fundraising dinner that supports the Bishop's ministries, emergency care for clergy in need and bursaries for religious education? Guest speaker is businessman and philanthropist Blake Goldring who will speak about how faith underpins his leadership in business and his work in the community. The event is October 20 at 7 pm at the Marriott Eaton Centre. We hope to buy a full table of 10 for St. Aidan's which happily will include Becky, and have 4-5 spots left. Tickets are $175 per person. Please let Mary (office@staidansinthebeach.com or 416-691-2222) or Sheila (staidans.warden1@gmail.com) know ASAP if you would like to join the group to share an evening and a meal.
8. Announcements for the Notices – Please submit any announcements for the weekly notices before Wednesday at 4 pm.

10. Food Bank Needs - Grace Pascoe Care Centre has asked specifically for donations of the following items: peanut butter, canned fish, canned vegetables, pasta sauce, canned beans, cereal, granola bars, diapers (size 1-5), baby formula, and period products. Please place them in the basket in the narthex. Note: empty egg cartons are needed once again. Thank you!
