3. Service Videos on Website and YouTube
We are recording our Sunday morning service each week, for those unable to attend it live. Look for it on the church website here: https://www.staidansinthebeach.com/services/pages/virtual-services, or on YouTube by searching St Aidan's in the Beach Sunday Service.

4. Result of Poll on Accent Colour
Thank you to all who gave us their preference on the accent colour for walls in the chancel. Blue was the choice of 66, with 40 opting for gold, and some respondents noted that blue has been St Aidan's signature colour, as befits a church by the lake. We will finalize the shade of blue when we have looked at samples in church under appropriate lighting.

5. New Podcast Episodes
Two new Boardwalk Talk episodes are now available. One episode features a conversation with Eileen Henderson, long-time restorative justice advocate who sits on the board of Restorative Justice Housing Ontario. The other episode is a conversation with Christine MacMillan, an ordained Salvation Army officer who chairs the World Evangelical Alliance’s Global Task Force on Human Trafficking. You can listen to these new episodes, and all other episodes, on the St. Aidan’s website or mobile app. Or you can download them from Spotify, Apple Podcasts, RadioPublic, and many other podcast platforms.

6. FaithWorks Appeal This Month: Give a helping hand to those who help across our Diocese
Through the month of May we are highlighting FaithWorks, the organization of the Diocese of Toronto that raises funds to support ministry partners who serve the needs of people who are indigenous, homeless, hungry, at-risk, vulnerable or marginalized.  15% of all donations are returned to St Aidan’s for our own Outreach work. A win-win scenario for all!
Give to those helping the sheep with a donation to FaithWorks of the cost of a dinner out, details are here: https://faithworks.ca/donating-to-faithworks/

7. Meditation Group: Cancelled This Week
We will skip the session on May 19th, when we are hosting David Miller to speak about his book Solved (see below).

8. David Miller Talk: May 19, 7:30 pm
Former Toronto mayor, past CEO of the World Wildlife Foundation and current Director of the C40 Cities Leadership Group, David Miller will discuss his book Solved and the role of cities and local communities in solving climate change. AURA (Anglican United Refugee Alliance) is partnering this spring with Plantables as a fundraiser. If you are looking for ways to be healthy, avoid potentially busy greenhouses, and become more self-reliant, you can order garden-ready plants. They cost $4 each and will be shipped to your home directly on the date of your choosing anywhere in Ontario or Quebec. 10% of your purchase will help AURA continue to support refugees.  Here is the link:

11.  Daily Spiritual Opportunities
Although we aren’t able to provide paper copies of the Forward Day by Day daily bible reading guides, those interested can access them online or as a podcast, along with other resources for prayer at their website:
https://prayer.forwardmovement.org
Canterbury Cathedral Morning Prayer is recorded each morning in the Deanery Garden at Canterbury Cathedral in England and is available as a video through the cathedral’s YouTube channel.  Led by Dean Robert Willis, and sometimes assisted by cats and other creatures that reside in the beautiful 2.5 acre garden, it provides a unique setting for daily prayer and spiritual reflection: https://www.canterbury-cathedral.org/worship/online-worship/#morning
