Summer Study SeriesThis summer we will be studying Debra Rienstra’s book Refugia Faith on Thursdays at 7:00pm: August 11, 18, 25 and September 1. As in previous years, we’ll be gathering in different backyards for discussion (locations to be announced). In her book and on her podcast, Rienstra develops the concept of refugia—the capacity of nature to develop places of protection and resilience in the face of catastrophe and crisis. She applies this to the life of the church in the 21st century. Please join us as we consider how St. Aidan’s can become a community of refugia faith. For more information, contact Michael Van Dusen or John Brewin. 11. Altar Flowers for AugustThere are multiple spots open for a flower dedication in August. Please continue to monitor yourselves for COVID-related symptoms and stay home whenever you are not feeling well. As part of the lifting of restrictions, the Common Cup will now be offered during Holy Communion. No one who receives the Bread is obligated to drink from the Cup. Please remember that the practice of intinction (dipping the wafer in the wine) is not permitted in the Diocese of Toronto. 13. Prayer ListIf there are people you would like us to pray for in church on Sundays, please write their names (first name only) in the folder that is on the cabinet in the narthex, before you go through the second set of doors into the sanctuary.
