3. Service Videos on Website and YouTube
We are recording our Sunday morning service each week, for those unable to attend it live. Look for it on the church website here: https://www.staidansinthebeach.com/services/pages/virtual-services, or on YouTube by searching St Aidan's in the Beach Sunday Service.

4. Sanctuary Lamps Available
As the church is being rewired the three red sanctuary lamps from the chancel have been taken down. Traditionally one lamp is left burning day and night to signify the presence of the Reserved Sacrament in the chapel, and we will continue to do that with the aumbry candle. If you would like to own one of the lamps, for a donation, please let us know by contacting the church office: office@staidansinthebeach.com

5. Grief Support Group
If you are grieving a death or other life loss and would like support, you may be interested in a group that will be meeting in the spring - outdoors, we hope, or by Zoom. Please contact Lucy at lreid08@gmail.com for more information.

 6. AURA Fundraiser for Refugees
AURA (Anglican United Refugee Alliance) is partnering this spring with Plantables as a fundraiser. If you are looking for ways to be healthy, avoid potentially busy greenhouses, and become more self-reliant, you can order garden-ready plants. They cost $4 each and will be shipped to your home directly on the date of your choosing anywhere in Ontario or Quebec. 10% of your purchase will help AURA continue to support refugees.  Here is the link:

7. Earth Sunday April 25
Earth Day is on Thursday April 22, and the following Sunday, April 25, we will have special prayers and focus to draw our attention to the sacred earth, its suffering at human hands and our response.

8. Urgent housing hunt for Disabled Indigenous Land Defender
Ben is seeking help finding housing for an adult, female Indigenous land defender, currently being evicted. If you have any contacts for rentals that fit the requirements, please contact Ben ASAP by phone or email: 226-337-3495 <ben.reid.howells@gmail.com>

9. Sad News
Ernst von Bezold died at home on Wednesday evening April 7 with his daughter Angela, his stepdaughter, his adopted son, and a lifelong friend by his bedside. While Ernst lived in Waterdown he retained his connection with St. Aidan's, continuing to bring Angela to church following their move away from the area. A number of parishioners have supported Ernst in the past month with food and services for him and his family and he appreciated the kindness and the prayers that went with them. He was a deeply spiritual person and was anointed and received communion on Holy Thursday. Please keep Ernst and his family in your prayers. A memorial service will be held post-pandemic and following completion of the renovations.
