This newsletter contains details on all our upcoming special events and services, as well as an overview of the programmes that will run through the fall. We hope you’re enjoying the summer,
and that we’ll see many of you on September 10 for our Welcome Back Sunday and parish lunch. You will also read here a letter from Matt Adams about the ending of his and Beth’s time with us. We want to celebrate all that Matt has brought to St Aidan’s and the Beach community in his role as associate priest for the last three years, as well as thanking Beth for her volunteer work in children’s and youth ministry, and in other behind-the-scenes roles such as designing and producing the newsletter.
On Sunday October 1st there will be a parish lunch prepared by the youth where we can gather and say Goodbye to Matt, Beth and Brianna. I very much hope that you can join us for that occasion.
With Matt and Beth’s departure we are experiencing change once again: a sure sign of life, but sometimes difficult to go through. I am convinced, though, that St Aidan’s as a community is faithful
enough to trust in God’s guidance, cohesive enough to support and encourage one another, and gifted enough to continue in ministry in so many ways to the Beach and beyond.
I will be on holiday in Newfoundland when you get this newsletter. I look forward to seeing you in September, and meanwhile I keep St Aidan’s in my heart and in my prayers.
